Another documentary from the BBC's "Nature Inc" series on business, finance, and the environment. The series looks at how business might be able to move beyond making money in a sustainable way, to making money in a way that actively preserves and promotes the environment. Specifically this documentary looks at the value of the world's tropical forests, with relevance to carbon markets and environmental incentive/offset markets.
"Perversely, under the Kyoto protocol, there is no reward for those who protect indigenous forests. On the Copenhagen agenda is a scheme to end that anomaly. If this scheme is adopted will it make a standing, native forest profitable? Recorded from BBC on 030709."
